Marshie Oril Decker, 89, of Steele, Mo. died Saturday, January 1, 1994, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center at Kennett, Mo.
Son of the late Marshie and Dora Ellen Campbell Decker, he was born July 18, 1904.
Two brothers: Ocie Decker and Val Decker; three sisters: Gladys Deckard, Emogene Guy and Lou Pool; and two sons in infancy also preceded Mr. Decker in death.
On April 23, 1954 at Hernando, Miss., he was united in marriage with Mary Ellen Webb.
He was in the logging business.
Mr. Decker leaves his wife, Mary Ellen Decker; five sons: Leonard Decker of Campbell, Mo., Melvin Verlon Decker of Big Sandy, Tenn., Leroy Decker of Rives, Mo., Vernon Decker of Paris, Tenn. and Charles Martin of the home;
Four daughters: Juanita Lucks of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Bernice Rodgers of Poplar, Calif., Ellen Gesting of Portageville, Mo. and Patricia Miller of Yuma, Ariz.; one brother, Noble Decker, of Sacramento, Ky., 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Decker were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 1994, at Bradshaw's German-Aumon chapel in Steele with Rev. Mac McCutcheon officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw's German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Mark Decker, Vernon Ray Decker, Daryl Decker, Don Kerby, Larry Gestring and David Mooney
