Dollie Marie Gooch, 93, of Willow Springs, Missouri, departed this life on October 26, 2014 at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs. She was born on September 28, 1921 in Topaz, Missouri, the daughter of Vernia and Julia (Russell) Seiber.
Dollie was a graduate of Willow Springs High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Rodney Gooch on August 20, 1948. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter-in-law, Jody Gooch, two brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include her children, Robert Gooch of Poplar Bluff, MO, Terry Gooch and wife, Rita, of Springfield, MO, Judy Derbes and husband, Charles, of Eunice, LA, Jeannie Sellers of Greenville, SC, Tom Gooch and wife, Linda, of Willow Springs, Jim Gooch and wife, Veronica, of Mountain View, MO, Bill Gooch and wife, Sally, of Conway, AR, David Gooch of Willow Springs, and Julie Carter and husband, David, of Willow Springs; 28 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
Dollie enjoyed making pies for holiday meals. Her specialty and a family favorite, was her applesauce pies. She also loved making quilts and made many beautiful ones for her family. Other hobbies were growing flowers, swimming in her pool, camping out West, and doing her “acrobats”. But her greatest love was spoiling her grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on October 30, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church, Willow Springs with David Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Willow Springs City Cemetery. []
