Funeral services for Geneva Trantham, 78, Koshkonong, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri.
She was born the daughter of the late Walter Mayfield and Thelma Bartley Mayfield, on November 18, 1938 in Ramona, Oklahoma and died March 19, 2017 in Koshkonong, Missouri.
She was united in marriage July 7, 1959 in West Plains, Missouri to Leroy Trantham.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Trantham, of the home, Koshkonong, Missouri; one son, Charles Trantham and wife Alice, Hawk Point, Missouri; one brother, Norman Mayfield and wife Evelyn, Lake Side, Oregon; one sister, Loeta Watson, West Plains, Missouri; one step granddaughter, Andrea Martin and husband Bill, Barnhart, Missouri; one step grandson, Shane Higgins, Hawk Point, Missouri; three step great grandchildren, Shelby Higgins, Jarold Higgins, both of Hawk Point, Missouri, and Kadence Martin, Barnhart, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She love to fish and loved her cat, “Baby”.
Family visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6-7 p.m., at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
