Shirley Shelton, 56, of Blytheville, Ark., died Friday, December 15, 2000 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.
Born in Huffman, Ark., she was the daughter of Edna Singleton Guy and the late Lamar Evans.
She was a homemaker and lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Shelton leaves her mother, Edna Guy, of Caruthersville, Mo.; Three sons, Jimmy Shelton and his wife Brandy, Tommy Shelton, and Bobby Shelton of Blytheville; Three daughters: Patricia Ann Almond of Burdette, Ark., Rowella Ferkel of Caruthersville and Judy Hardin of Cottonwood Point, Mo.; Seven brothers: Kenneth Singleton of Hayti, Mo., and Edward Guy, David Guy, Ora Lee Guy, Jimmy Guy, William Guy, and Leroy Guy of Caruthersville; Four sisters: Margaret Sexton of Hayti, Betty Morgan of Kennett, Mo., Ruby Smith of Paragould, Ark., and Darlene Dale of Caruthersville; Her companion, Billy Herron, of Blytheville; Six grandchildren; and Eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelton were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Clayton Metheny officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.

Bobby D. Shelton, 66, of Huffman, Ark., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at his home.
Born March 24, 1938, in Waverly, Tenn., he was the son of the late Robert and Beula Derm Shelton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Shelton, and one step-daughter, Patricia Almond.
He was a farm laborer and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and raising livestock.
Mr. Shelton leaves three sons: Jimmy Shelton and his wife Brandy, of Blytheville, Ark., Tommy Shelton and Bobby Shelton and his wife Jennifer, all of Paducah, Ky.; Two step-daughters: Rowella Ferkel and Judy Phillips and her husband Chris, all of Caruthersville,; One sister, Laura Jane Townsend, of McEwen, Tenn.; One niece, Cheri Holland, of McEwen; and three grandchildren: Brashton Shelton of Blytheville, and Bethany Phillips and Brianna Phillips, both of Caruthersville.
Funeral services for Mr. Shelton were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Mr. Clayton Metheny officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.
