Alex James Greuter, 15 passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. He was born on July 4, 1999 the son of Jessica L. Greuter.
Alex had a very close relationship with his brother though they fought as brother do, they quickly mended and resumed their Nerf gun war, as that was usually what started the fight to begin with. He loved music of all kinds and loved to sing. He was a very proud member of the high school choir and recently participated in the SCA choir.
Alex loved reading, particularly fantasy and science fiction. He often engrossed himself in complex literature and read for hours at a time. His favorite past time was spending afternoons and weekends with his close group of friends playing video games, playing at the park and engaging in many other acts of imagination. He was a very passionate person; when he cared about someone or something he did so deliberately and with his whole heart. He was born with an infectious smile that he wore every day. He has left an irrevocable mark on those lucky enough to really know who he was Alex will always be loved and deeply missed by those who called him family or friend.
Alex is survived by his mother, Jessica Greuter of Nixa, MO; his brother, Brandon Vancil; grandmother, Deborah Strong; aunt, Sarah Pearson and cousin, Avah Pearson all of Cabool, MO; grandparents, Jeff and Mary Smith of Willow Springs, MO; as well as great grandparents and many close friends.
