The Steele Enterprise, Steele, Missouri
Thursday, May 30, 1946:
John Meril Chappell, one day old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Chappell of this community, died Tuesday, May 28, 1946 at the Ringland and Callahan Clinic.
Funeral services were held the same day at the chapel by H.F. Sharp, pastor of the Church of Christ.
Interment was at Mount Zion Cemetery. German Undertaking Company was in charge.
