Friday, November 26, 1948:
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Shewey, wife of William Shewey of Holland, Mo., were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Holland by the Rev. Massey Porter, pastor of the Gibson Bayou Church of Christ.
Mrs. Shewey, 78, died at her home Friday morning following a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Shewey came to Holland from Elizabeth, Ill., in 1900 and have made their home in Holland since then. She leaves only her husband.
The Holt Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of arrangements and burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele.
