King's Prairie News: Died, Nov 13th, Henry Slitt, a farmer of stones Prairie. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss. He was about 41 years old. He had been sick about four months with the slow fever. He was buried at the Pisgah Cemetery. There was a large crowd at his funeral to take a last look at he remains and to pay Henry their last respects. He was a highly esteemed citizen of our community and his bereaved family has our sympathy. Ref: Haddock Family Web Page - Missouri Historical Society Microfilm
