Graveside services for Mona Kay Wheeler Elmore will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life following at Sacred Heart Hall. Kay was the daughter of Ernest Allen Wheeler and Eddith Belle Wheeler and was born on August 24th, 1935 at Mt. Grove, MO and went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2017 at her home in Willow Springs, MO. Kay graduated from Willow Springs High School in 1953. On November 4th, 1954 she married Ted Elmore and to this Union three daughters were born, Pamela, Debra, and Cindy.
She retired from Marathon Electric. She was an avid gardener, she loved her roses and orchids especially. She volunteered at MUNCH and worked part time for Lakeland Pharmacy delivering medication.
She clearly loved her family, she was a dedicated mother and grandmother.
Kay is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Boyle (Mike), Debra Simon (Larry), and Cindy Bryan (Pat). She is further survived by her grandchildren, Candi Langley, Heather Cunningham (Jr), Amanda Boser (Patrick), Ashley Simon, Drew Simon, Jodie Bryan and Brett Bryan, and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Steven Wheeler (Lillie), Chris Wheeler and sister Karen Fagan, and numerous nieces and nephews all who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Allen and Eddith Belle Wheeler, sister and brother-in-law Billie Dawn and Carl Swenson, sister-in-law Carol Wheeler, and brother-in-law Jim Fagan.
