Graveside services for Wanda Lee Heselton, 88, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Heselton passed away at 2:28 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Manor.
She was born May 6, 1930, at Olden, Missouri, to George Boone Thompson and D. Blanche Brower Thompson. On June 30, 1951, she was married at Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Alvin Lee Heselton, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2009. Mrs. Heselton worked at the International Shoe Company for forty-four years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed word search puzzles and loved to visit with her neighbors at Pleasant Valley Manor. Wanda will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Heselton was a long time member of United Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Kathy Hollingshad and husband, Guy, West Plains; three sisters-in-law, Brenda Thompson, Springfield, Missouri, Donna Thompson, Arlington, Texas and Wanda Heselton Clark and husband, Ken, Springfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Zac Hollingshad and wife, Jamie and Steven Hollingshad and wife, Alyssa, all of West Plains; and great-niece and great-nephew, Colby and Emma Hollingshad.
Her parents, husband, four brothers, George Alvin Thompson, Robert Wayne Thompson, Richard Blaine Thompson and Norman Eugene Thompson, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Heselton will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridges or The Wonderful Made Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Alvin Lee Heselton, 82, West Plains, were Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Heselton died at 1:56 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at West Vue Nursing Center. He was born Oct. 15, 1926, at West Plains, Mo., to Emerson Lee and Faye Alspaugh Heselton. Mr. Heselton was a member of the West Plains High School Class of 1946, and on June 30, 1951, was married at Mountain Home, Ark., to Wanda Thompson. Before his retirement, Mr. Heselton was employed at International Shoe Company for 40 years as a supervisor and shoe cutter. He was a member of the West Plains Lions Club, loved to hunt, fish, enjoyed the outdoors and also loved to cook. Mr. Heselton was a member of the United Freewill Baptist Church for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Heselton, of the family home; one brother, Harold Heselton, wife, Hope, West Plains; one sister, Wanda Clark, husband, Ken, Springfield, Mo.; five brothers-in-law, Ralph Summers, Mountain Grove, Mo., Guy Hollingshad, wife, Kathy, Richard Thompson, wife, Brenda, Robert Thompson, all of West Plains and Gene Thompson and wife, Donna, Arlington, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. His parents; two sisters, Hazel and Ruby; and one brother, Wayne, precede him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
