Charles Joseph Clemmons, 55, of Steele, died July 25, 1995 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 3, 1939 at Chillicothe, Ohio, he was the son of Robert F. and Grace Clemmons. He was a member of the Number Nine (Ark.) Baptist Church, was an Air Force veteran and was employed by Mid-Continent Aircraft Corp. in Hayti.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Clemmons of Steele; His mother, Grace Clemmons of Gahanna, Ohio; And a sister, Patsy Clemmons of Gahanna.
Services were July 27 at 2 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. David Poe officiating, with burial at Mitchell Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter.
