Marvin Lee Barnes, 77, of Qulin, formerly of Steele, died March 27, 1992 at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff. Born Oct. 11, 1914 in Shannon, Miss., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Jack Barnes. He was a member of Olive Branch Masonic Lodge 576 in St. Louis since 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Jewell Trigg Barnes of Qulin; A son, Jerry Campbell of St. Louis; A stepdaughter, Mary Whittier of St. Louis; Two sisters, Vera Long of Qulin and Frances "Dutch" Canada of Blytheville; Eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 14 stepgrandchildren;
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Services were March 29 at 1 p.m. at Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Robert Leathers officiatin, with burial in Mitchell Number 8 Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
