Mrs. Rebecca O'Kean, 68, died at the home of her son, Claude O'Kean, Sunday with a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. O'Kean had been blind for the past 15 years.
Funeral services were held at the No. 8 cemetery Friday, being conducted by the Rev. Hunt.
Survivors are two sons, Howard of near Marston and Claud of near Cooter; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Ayers of Caruthersville, Mrs. Bell Wright of Sheron, Tenn., and Mrs. Ida Doran of Dresden, Tenn., and one brother, W.T. Oakley of Gideon.

Mrs. Rebecca O'Kane died at the home of her son, Claude, of the No. 8 community near Cooter last Thursday afternoon, following a stroke of paralysis, October 3, 1937 from which she never regained consciousness. She was 68 years of age and had lived practically all her life in the No. 8 community.
She is survived by two sons, Claude of No. 8 and Howard of Marston; one daughter, Mrs. Maud Raspberry of Keiser, Ark.; one brother, W.T Oakley, Sr., of Gideon, three sisters: Mrs. Lucy Ayers of Caruthersville, Mrs. Belle Wright of Sharon, Tenn. and Mrs. Ida Doran of Dresden, Tenn.
