Ada Emaline Overton passed away at her home in Muskogee, OK, Apr. 10, 1942. She was born near Wheaton, MO on Aug. 16, 1889. She was 52 years, 7 months and 24 days of age. She had been afflicted for a number of years. She was a daughter of Alec and Ruth Overton. She professed faith in Christ at the age of 14, and united with the Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Grover E. Overton on Jan. 5, 1908. To this union one son, Robert Cecil, was born. She is survived by her husband and one son and one grandchild, Barbara Ellen Overton of Kansas City; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Garrison of Purdy; two brothers, Lee Howerton of San Diego, CA, Fred Howerton, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Wheaton Baptist church on Sunday afternoon Apr. 12, 1942 by Rev. Charles Vanzandt, assisted by Rev. J. W. Bain. Burial was in the OK Union Cemetery. Pall bearers were Hubert Garrison, Kenneth Garrison, Corum Howerton, Joe McNeill, Aubry Howerton, and Bryan Keeling. - Census records indicate that she was the daughter of John Alexander Howerton and Mary Ann Stephens.

Mrs. Overton passed away at her home. She had been afflicted for a number of years. She professed faith in Christ at 14 & united w/the Baptist Church. On 5 Jan 1908 she married Grover Edwin Overton & to this union son Robert Cecil was born.

Mrs. Overton is survived by her beloved husband, son & grandchild Barbara Ellen Overton; siblings Mrs. Pearl Garrison, Lee & Fred Howerton; plus many other relatives & friends.

Rev Chas Vanzandt assisted by Rev J. W. Bain conducted the services at Wheaton Baptist church on Sunday afternoon. Pall bearers were Joe McNeill, Bryan Keeling, Hubert & Kenneth Garrison, Corum & Aubry Howerton. Flower girls were Anna Lea Lamberson, Billie McNeill, Willodean Harper, Maxine Keeling, Elizabeth Howerton, Nadine Belka & Ellen Overton.
