Lee Efton Martin, 81, Crane, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2001 in Cox Walnut Lawn Hospital, Springfield. He was born January 22, l910 in Stone County, Missouri, the second child of Thomas Efton Martin and Hazel Edna Gold. He was a farmer and machinist, retiring from Lily Tulip Cup Manufacturing, where he was known as Dad Martin from 1957 until l985. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of the Crane Bible Baptist Church. He was married to Nellie Clevenger December 22, 1944, and they made their home in the Crane area. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Karen Arganbright, and two grandsons, David Nathan Arganbright, and Bryan Kasinger. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; six children, Edna Mayne, Crane, Marge Kasinger, Billings, Charles Martin, Crane, Jean Stapp, Neosho, Randy Martin, Blackfoot, Idaho, and Dennis Martin, Springfield; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Vena Machenheimer, Bertha Andrews, Eva Wallberg, and Inez Rice, all of Seattle, Washington. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2001 in Crane Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Sharp officiating, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Billings. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Crane, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery.
