Son of Lester & Velma Williams, husband of Mary L. Williams.
Edward Elijah "Ed" Williams, 53, Clever, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 1991, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield. Edward was a lifelong carpenter and employed at Casco Kitchens, Springfield. Ed was born in Crane to Lester and Velma Williams. He was the loving husband of Mary and the loving father of Deborah (Williams) Stephens, Springfield, Jack Williams, Springfield, and Jeff Williams, Aurora, Colo. Ed is also survived by his four stepchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association.
