Charles Edwin Arnett, 59, of Monett, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, in his home. He was born March 12, 1954, in Granite City, IL, the son of James Arnett, who preceded him in death. Survivors include: one son, Dakota Arnett, of Monett; one daughter, Maiki McGee, of Purdy; two brothers, Michael Arnett, of Alton, IL, and David Arnett, of Illinois; and five grandchildren. He grew up in Illinois, where he received his education. He was a self-employed construction worker and had served in the U.S. Marine Corp. In 1999, he moved from Ottawa, IL, to Missouri to make his home. Graveside services were held Monday in Log Church Memorial Gardens, Butterfield. Pastor Dennis Burge conducted the services.
