Rites for Shirden Bailey, 52 years old, of near Exeter, will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Koon chapel here by the Rev. Francis Goodnight. Burial will in Hickman cemetery, west of Washburn ... were killed instantly when the automobile in which they were riding crashed into a semi-trailer truck loaded with hay while passing another vehicle on the highway. They were accompanying Hood, the driver, to Cassville. J.R. Bixler of Wheaton, driver of the truck was uninjured... Mr. Bailey’s survivors are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Bailey; three daughters, Mrs. Aldona Poe of Bush, Colo., Mrs. Earl Martin of Washburn and Mrs. Fred Boyer of Rogers, Ark.; five sons, Dillard and Lillard Bailey of the home, Okel Bailey of Simco, Mo., Jack Bailey of McAlester, Okla., and Blaine of Washington; three brothers and one sister.
