Dorene Woodruff, 90, of Mountain View, Missouri departed this life November 6, 2018 at her home in Trask, Missouri.
She was born January 23, 1928 in Trask, Missouri to Edward and Maude Belle (Seats) Rowlett. Dorene was united in marriage to the love of her life, Woody Woodruff on July 26, 1945. Their love story was like something from a Hollywood movie. Together they built a beautiful life.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Woodruff, Mike Woodruff and wife, Mary Jo, Larry Woodruff and wife Diane, all of Mountain View, Missouri; four grandchildren, Denise Woodruff, Shelly Collins, Mark Woodruff, and Sara Woodruff; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Woody, parents, three brothers, four sisters, and four grandchildren.
Dorene was so proud of her family and believed they were her greatest accomplishments in life. She was passionate about creating traditions that would carry on. She was a talented artist and woodworker. She loved to garden and never met a wildflower that she didn’t like. She devoted her life to making sure those around her knew how much she loved them. She loved to have her family gathered around the table for a Sunday dinner and her home filled with laughter.
Her family will miss her greatly but they take comfort in knowing that she loved them with all of her heart and she is finally reunited with Woody again.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View with Reverend Mike Dillinger officiating. Visitation will take place from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Pomona, Missouri. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
