Son of Jesse Jefferson “Jeff” Barnes and Effie Jane Call
July 27, 1916, Cassville Republican - Rock Spring News: Lemma Barnes of Lamar, Colo., 16 year old son of Jeff Barnes, was drowned on the 16th and was buried here on the 18th at the family cemetery on the farm of T. J. Barnes. He went into water ten feet deep and twenty feet wide. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community.
