Patrick Mooney was killed while jumping a freight train in Washburn. He was a son of Shawn and Bittie Mooney.
Cassville Republican, July 15, 1897 - Died Monday at Washburn, 16 year old Pat Mooney, son of John Mooney. Believed to have been injured jumping from a train. A sister is Mrs. W. T. Denbo.
