PHILEMON BEECHER
Philemon Beacher, an early settle of Adair County, passed away at his home in Millard, Tuesday afternoon, October 6th, at the age of seventy-three years.
Mr. Beecher had been ill with cancer for many years and his death was not unexpected.
He is survived by his wife, four children, C. C. and H. D. Beecher and Mrs. Carrie Crampton of Illinois and Mrs. Jummie Singrich of Iowa, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at noon today, conducted by Rev. William Calloway of the Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Phil Beecher, could always be counted as one,
That was ready for scouting, or fighting or fun,
But when he came home he married a wife,
And settled right down to a true Christian life.
