JOHN CALVIN
John Calvin, an old resident of Adair County, died Tuesday at his home in Millard, following an illness of several months. Mr. Calvin was seventy-six years of age and had been in failing health for some time having suffered a stroke of paralysis several months ago.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.A. Stockham of Millard, with whom he made his home, Mrs. Durham, who lives in Idaho and one son, Bird Calvin, of Moberly

John Calvin, an old resident of Adair county, and a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home in Millard Tuesday, March 8th, aged 75 years. He suffered a stroke of paralysis several months ago and since his health had constantly failed. Mr. Calvin was an excellent citizen and had many friends who deeply regret his death and extend sympathy to the bereaved family. His wife died January 11, 1919. He is survived by three sons, Bert of Moberly, Lawrence of Chicago and Emery of Millard, and two daughters, Mrs. Grace Stockham of Millard and Mrs. Orpha Durham of Idaho who was at his bedside when he died. The funeral was held at the Millard church, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. F. W. Condit conducted the service. Burial in Stukey cemetery near Millard.
