Carlton "Don" Lindley, 61, of Blytheville, Ark., died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at his home.
Born May 9, 1941 in Red Bay, Ala., he was the son of Mansel Lindley and the late Mary Emmaline Spencer Lindley. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Edward Lindley.
Employed in the maintenance department of Paco Disel, Don had resided in Blytheville for 15 years and was of the Church of God faith.
According to family members, he was a "professional piddler" who enjoyed woodworking, yard work and playing golf whenever he could.
Mr. Lindley leaves his wife of 40 years, Victoria Gail England Lindley, of Blytheville; His father, Mansel Lindley, of Amory, Miss.; Two sons: Timmy O'Neal Lindley and Carl David Lindley of Blytheville; Three daughters: Tammy Rene Eiermann of Sauk Village, Ill., Chythia Lynn Utermark of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Carisa Dawn Lynch of Horn Lake, Miss.; Two brothers: Robert Lee Lindley of Armory and Freddie Joe Lindley of Smithville, Miss.; Seven sisters: Opal Louise Mann of Fulton, Miss., Mary Magdalene Eaton of Blytheville, Martha Geraldine Eaton of Holland, Mo., Barbara Ann Pace of Armory, Linda Kathy Eaton of Steele, Mo., Carolyn Jean Johnson of Crete, Ill., and Anita Kay Stephenson of Greenwood Springs, Miss.; and Eight grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Lindley were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2002, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Jim Gentry officiating.
Burial was at the Number Eight Cemetery near Cooter, Mo., with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.
