Vernon "Bill" Ausburn
Graveside service for Vernon "Bill" Ausburn, 84, of Wills Point, were held at 11 a.m., April 22, at Mitchell #8 Cemetery in Steele, Missouri. Local arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Mr. Ausburn passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Athens.
He was born January 31, 1927, in Kensett, Arkansas, the son of Jesse Vernon Ausburn and Allie Browning Ausburn. He was raised in Scooter, Missouri. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He retired from Longhorn Dodge in Dallas where he was an auto mechanic. He lived at Lake Palestine prior to moving to Wills Point in 1998. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church near Wills Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include Elsie Muriel McDonald, Norma and Don Creed, James Vergil Ausburn, Lawrence Wayne Ausburn, Jerry Randall Ausburn, Kathleen Ausburn Ward, Ellen Ausburn Cooper and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
