David Gatewood
Jerry "Dave' Gatewood, Jr., 55, Purdy, died on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on January 14, 1963 in Nevada, Mo., the son of the late Jerry David Gatewood, Sr. and Regina Ann Wyrick. He was employed by the City of Purdy.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR.
He is survived by the love of his life, "Sunshine" Dorothy Graff, of the home; two sons, Travis Gatewood and wife, Jeanne, Sarcoxie; Steve Gatewood, Monett; two sisters, Vickie Jett, Norwood' Rolena Church, Cassville; and Amanda Gatewood, Monett; six grandchildren, two great grandkids, several nieces and nephews, and several dear friends.
Upon his request, cremation arrangements are under direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Kings Prairie Cemetery, east of Monett
