Obituary
William H. Chadeayne was born in Riverhead, Long Island, New York, July 7, 1840, and died at his home in Kirksville of cancer of the liver June 17, 1911.
He was married to Margaret Wilson at Albany, New York, November 14, 1863. To this union five children were born, two of whom died in infancy. When Lincoln made his first call for troops, deceased enlisted in the regular army and served nearly four years. He came to Kirksville in 1888, and has since resided here. He was an honorable, upright man and highly esteemed by all who knew him.
Funeral took place from the home Sunday afternoon under the auspices of the G. A. R. of which he was an honored member. Burial in Highland Park cemetery.
