CHARLES CLINE, 72 YEARS OLD DIES SUDDENLY

Long-Time Resident Here; Funeral to Be Announced

A long-time resident of Kirksville, Charles H. Cline, 72, of 1009 N. Luther, died suddenly in his home about five o'clock this morning.

He was born in Scotland county July 8, 1883, and was the son of George W. and Frances Watson Cline.

In 1908 he married Mary Evelyn Avise in Dallas City, Ill. She preceded him in death in 1924.

In 1935 he married Madge Wayman, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Charles Henry Cline of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sherman Lee Cline of the home; two daughters, Mrs. George (Juanita Grace) Crim of Brashear and Mrs. Russell (Ethel) Jones of Burnside, Ill.; a step-daughter, Mrs. J.R. (Dorothy Mae) Newton of Kirksville; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Charlotte) Huff of Kirksville and Mrs. Eddie (Susie) Huff of Novinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Mr. Cline operated a transfer business in Kirksville at one time. He retired several years ago.

The body is at the Funeral Home of Davis and Davis. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Charles H. Cline Funeral Tomorrow

Funeral services for Charles H. Cline, 72, who died suddenly in his home, 1009 N. Luther, Tuesday morning at five o'clock, will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock in the funeral chapel of Davis and Davis. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Romans Smith and burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.

Bearers will be: George Adkins, Pearl Smith, Edward Maggert, Otis Woods, Boyd Foster and Walter Gillespie.

MRS. EVA KLEIN DIES TODAY OF PERITONITIS

Mrs Eva Klein, wife of Charlie Klein, died at their home at 1214 North Main street at two o'clock this afternoon of peritonitis.

She was 33 years of age and has been living in Kirksville for a number of years, coming here from Illinois.

She leaves her husband, Charlie Klein; four children, Ethel, Grace, Edward and Henry; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Avise, of Tolusa, Ill., three sisters, Mrs. E. S. Hubbard of Pilot Grove, Ia., Mrs. Linnie Paulus of near Tolusa, Ill., and Mrs. Edna Michaels of Dallas City, Ill.; two brothers, Jesse and Alva of Tolusa and Rolla of Hamilton, Ill.

Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Mrs. Eva Cline's Funeral Friday

The funeral of Mrs. Eva Cline, who died at her home on North Main street yesterday afternoon, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Summers and Taylor Undertaking parlors. Interment will be made in the Highland Park cemetery.

Besides her husband, C.H. Cline, and four children, her father, Edward Avise of Colusa, Ill., and sister, Mrs. E.S. Hubbard, are here for the funeral.
