Robert Ray Fiscus, 42, native of Kirksville vicinity, died early Tuesday morning, Sept. 20, in a veterans hospital at Danville, Ill., after a brief illness.He became ill Wednesday of last week in Tennessee.
Mr. Fiscus was born near Kirksville, a son of R.C. and Violetta Fiscus, and spent most of his youth in Kirksville.
He served in the World War under Capt. Dale Heinz, of this city, and was a charter member of the McDougail-Lowe Post of the American Legion.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Cundiff Fiscus, and his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Macklin, of Kirksville, one brother, and half-brother of Kansas City.
