Jerry "Joe" Stuver, age 70, a lifelong resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Joe was born the son of Cecil E. and Frances J. (Phillips) Stuver on January 5, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1966 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Joe worked as a self-employed carpenter. He owned and operated the roller rink in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. Joe enjoyed being a country western entertainer and performer.

Survivors include five brothers, Cecil "Hop" Stuver and wife Anabel of Chillicothe, Missouri, Richard Stuver of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, Larry Stuver of Chillicothe, Missouri, Thomas Stuver of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Timothy Stuver of Trenton, Missouri; three sisters, Nancy Arnt of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Karen Sumpter of Independence, Missouri, and Virginia Steel and husband Wayne of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles, Russell, and Dale Stuver; and one sisters, Leola Warrick.

A graveside service will be held at the Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri, on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA Backpack Buddies and/or the Livingston County Humane Society and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhomes.com.
