Patrisha “Patsy” Ann (Bell) Wyatt was born in Dunklin County, MO, on February 3, 1945, to Clinton Bell and Mabel (Traylor) Bell. Patsy passed from this life June 10, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO surrounded by her family after a 12 year battle with cancer.
Patsy graduated from Kennett High School in 1963, and on October 17, 1964 was married at Campbell, MO to John “J.D.” David Wyatt of Kennett, MO.
She is survived by her husband, “J.D.” of 54 years of the home; one sister, Shirley Bell of Kennett, MO; two children, Jill Porter (John) of Morris, OK and Joel Wyatt ( Melanie) of Kennett, MO; two grand-daughters, Brooke King of Tulsa, OK and Madison King of Morris, OK; three grandsons, Kaleb Porter, Konner Porter of Morris, OK and Landry Pitts of Thayer, MO; one niece, Lianne Cole (David) of Vilonia, AR; sister-in-law, Oma Nell Waddell of Vilonia, AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two nephews and one brother-in-law.
Patsy worked for several years at the Medical Clinic in Willow Springs, Ozark Medical Center and Job Services. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she taught Pre-School Sunday school for 35 years. She also was president of Women’s Mission Union.
Patsy was a member of Willow Springs Study Club for 17 years, one of the oldest civic organizations serving in the past as president. She was an avid golfer in the summer and bowler in the winter. She loved flowers and each spring she planted and nurtured her flower beds. Her greatest joy in life was her family and in the fall each Friday night she could be found under the Friday night lights watching her son coach his football team, she was his greatest fan and supporter. She always had a positive attitude and never complained. She loved people and loved helping people. She will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Willow Springs, with visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary chapel in Willow Springs. Interment will be in the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Donations may be made to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks at www.bcfo.org.
