Dorothy M. Stitzer, daughter of John Dee and Susan (Campbell) Sullivan, was born November 1, 1918, in Novinger, Mo., and died Thursday, March 17, 1994, in a Kirksville, Mo., nursing home at the age of 75 years.
She married John Stitzer in 1934, in Kirksville, Mo. He preceded her in death in September 1972.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are three sons John "Andy" Stitzer and wife Sarah, Kirksville, Mo., Richard Stitzer, Fulton, Mo., and Mike Stitzer and wife Jan, Kirksville, Mo.; one daughter, Barbara Dully and husband Leland, Queen City; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Cleo Sullivan, Mason City, Ia., and Virgil Sullivan, Manly, Ia.; one sister, Martha Elsea, Kirksville, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stitzer was reared in the Novinger, Mo., area. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to Kirksville, Mo.
Graveside services were held Saturday, March 19, 1994, in Highland Park Cemetery, Kirksville, Mo., with the Rev. Archie Cooper officiating.
Bearers were David Dudziak, Doug Dudziak, Allen Mille, Martin Stitzer, Mark Teller and Jeff McClellan.
