William John Diekmann, age 88 of Brashear, Missouri passed away Sunday morning July 21, 1991 at his residence near Brashear, Missouri.
Born February 10, 1903 in Ursa, Illinois he was the son of Ernest Adolph and Dorthea Lasetta Wechter Diekmann. On October 4, 1934 at Fort Madison, Iowa he married Golda Downing Patterson and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Glaspie and husband Richard of Essex, Iowa; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Ernest Diekmann and Albert Diekmann and two in infancy and three sisters, Louise Bowen, Dena Diekmann and Alvina Blockert.
Mr. Diekmann spent most of his life in the Brashear community where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Kirksville.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday evening July 23, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. in the Faith Lutheran Church of Kirksville. The Rev. Mark Appold will officiate. Burial will be in the Paultown Cemetery northeast of Brashear, MO. Arrangements by Hudson-Rimer Park View Chapel, Kirksville, MO.
