From Monday's Daily
Mr. Milton Stevenson, one of the old stand-by Republicans of Mineral township, was in the city to-day and visited the BANNER office, where he and all such men as always welcome. Mr. Stevenson came to Jasper county thirty-right years ago; took part in the last was; says he spent fifteen days and nights in the Little Rock penitentiary and can prove it; he was confined there by the Rebels. He is now seventy-two years old and shows that time is wearing on him. His visit to Carthage to-day was the renew his subscription to the BANNER and to receive the patents to his land, entered twenty-six years ago--which he has neglected to secure from the Interior Department.
