Ms. Stringer, a 1964 graduate of Willow Springs High School and a graduate of Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State University) in Springfield, began her career as a reporter with the West Plains Quill, and as a model and licensed cosmetologist in Florida before beginning her consuming commitment to education.
