Tommy Joe Workman was born November 25, 1944 in Howell County Missouri to Raymond T. Workman and Lue Emma Henry-Workman. At the time of his passing he was 74 years and 9 months old. Tom left this life at 3:45 AM at Quaker Hill in Lowell, Kansas on August 25, 2019. Tom was one of three children and is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Lue Emma and an older brother, David. Tom is survived by his wife Gloria Garner-Workman of their rural Peoria, Oklahoma home, a sister, Anna Lou Fox and husband, Max of West Plaines, Missouri. A daughter, Kambra Smith and husband, one Granddaughter, Kourtney Broeker and husband and two great Grandchildren all of Saint Charles, Missouri. Tom is also survived by a nephew, Eddie Whited and family all of West Plaines, Missouri. Tom was surrounded by Gloria's children, Grand Children and Great-Grandchildren whom Tom loved as though they were his own. A son, Vance Reeves and girlfriend, Robin Winfrey, also of Rural Peoria, Oklahoma. A daughter, Amy Jo Simmons and husband, Dale of Lowell, Kansas. Four grandchildren, Andrew Reeves and wife Brooke of Miami, Damon Simmons and girlfriend Emily Bruffy of Commerce, Oklahoma. Ambur Albright and husband Mitch of rural Galena, Kansas. Trapper Reeves and wife Morgan also of Miami. Four Great-Grandchildren, Brayden, Olivia, Alayna and Wrenley, as well as a host of family from Gloria's side that loved Tom dearly. Tom had previously worked as a pumper in the oilfields in and around Enid, Oklahoma and in the propane business in Oklahoma and Missouri working as General manager for Stocker Propane before moving back to Oklahoma in 1992. Before his retirement, Tom served as Ottawa County Road District#1 Road foreman under four different County Commissioners, and began his retirement at age 67 where he enjoyed his home, his little dog Peanut, family and friends. A Celebration of Tom's life is set for September 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at the home in rural Peoria, Oklahoma.
