February 25, 1886
Mr. Jeremiah Stout, who lived seven miles northwest of this city, died at 5 o'clock this morning, of lung and kidney troubles. The funeral services will be held tomorrow at the family residence, and the remains will be buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Stout was an old and respected citizen, having lived in Jasper county sixteen years.
Quite a large concourse of people assembled to pay their last respects to Mr. Stout, though comparatively few went to the cemetery. The services at the house were conducted by brother Miller.
