Cassville Republican, February 13, 1919 - Death of Mrs. Fannie Cox: Mrs. Fannie Cox, widow of Jesse Cox formerly of the Pasley locality, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Colorado Springs, Colo. A telegram from Roscoe Cox of Colorado Springs to his brother, Otis, of this city was received Wednesday afternoon announcing her death. Her body was sent to Cassville and was taken to Corinth Cemetery southwest of this city, Saturday for burial. The funeral at the Corinth Church, conducted by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt was attended by a good crowd of her old neighbors and friends regardless of the bad weather. Fannie Brandt Cox was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Brandt, deceased, who for many years were residents of the Pasley locality, which was her home until a few years ago when her family moved to Colorado for the benefit of her health. For the past fifteen years or more she had been an invalid but had been a patient sufferer enduring all with a true Christian fortitude. Her husband died less than two years ago. They leave five sons: Rosco and George of Colorado Springs, Otis of this city, Frank who is now in France and Harry who is in the Eastern part of the United States.
