Son of B. B. Hefley and Margaret O. Babb

Cassville Republican, Oct. 21, 1920 - Rolla Hefley, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Hefley, of the Corinth locality, southwest of this community, died Sunday, Oct. 17, following an illness of about one year of tuberculosis. Funeral services were held at the Hefley home Monday afternoon and internment made in the Corinth cemetery. Rolla was born January 8, 1901. He lived all of his life in that community except for a short time while in the West seeking a more favorable climate for the benefit of his health. He was married about two years ago to Miss Mary Sills, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Sills. To them a daughter was born. He leaves his wife and infant daughter, father and mother, one brother, Frank, and two sisters, Mrs. William Wheeler of Aurora and Mrs. James Smalley of Nebraska. His untimely death has brought deep grief to his numerous relatives and friends. He had realized for some months that the end was near and expressed his willingness to go. Last spring, in the company of his father, he went to Colorado and remained for some time, but received little benefit, and desired to return home for what time he had left to live. Representatives of the W. O. W. camp of this city attended the funeral and had part in the funeral ceremony.
