Miss Elizabeth Sherman, the last of four daughters of General and Mrs. Wm. Tecumseh Sherman died Monday, April 6th in Boston and
burial will occur in St. Louis. MO., the coming week. She is survived by two brothers, Rev. Fr. Thomas Sherman of California and Mr. Philip
Tecumseh Sherman a prominent attorney of New York City.
Miss Sherman resided with her parents on Main Hill this city in her earlier life and was a first cousin of Mr. George Ewing of East Wheeling
street and a niece of Mrs Teresa Ewing Steele and Mrs M. E. Reese both deceased. Many Lancaster residents will remember her with pleasant recollections for her nobility of character.
