Rites for Mrs. Ada Bivens, 96, wife of the late G.D. Bivens were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the Methodist Church at Cooter by the Rev. Marvin Niblack, pastor.
Mrs. Bivens died at 12:15 Saturday morning at the home of her son, J.B. Bivens, who lived on Route 1, Steele. She had been in this area for the past 13 or 14 years, but spent the greater past of her life at Jackson, Tenn. She was born in Virginia.
She attended the Primitive Baptist Church as long as she was physically able.
Survivors include three sons: J.B. Bivens, W.F. Bivens of Jackson and T.E. Bivens of Little Rock; a daughter, Mrs. Drew Hanna of Jackson; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Holt Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of burial at the Number Eight Cemetery ear Cooter.
