Ruth Nora "Sam" Lovins, 84, died Thursday, March 22, 1990, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
Daughter of the late Alford and Lucy Best, she was born August 29, 1905, at Bonicord, Tenn.

Married to Raymond Lovins, she was a homemaker. Her husband, one son, Billy Wayne Lovins; three brothers: Richard, Bill and Noel; and three sisters, Oma Flowers, Polly Lovins, and Lucy McDonald; preceded her in death.

She leaves one son, William Nathan Lovins, of Canalou, Mo.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Rev. Mike Cartwright conducted funeral services Saturday, March 24, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. from Bradshaw German-Aumon Chapel in Steele, Mo.

Burial was in Number Eight Cemetery at Cooter, Mo., with arrangements by Bradshaw-German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele. Pallbearers were Bud Ashcraft, Ray Pugh, Buck Laster, Darrell Edwards, Keith Flowers, and Danny Flowers.

Raymond Pat Lovins, Cooter, Missouri farmer, died at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville Thursday.
Mr. Lovins who was born in Lake County, Tennessee, on June 12, 1909, was the son of Ida Mae Decker and G.M. Lovins. He was 54.
Services were at Number Eight Church at 2:00 p.m., September 21, 1963, Rev. James C. Miller of Number Nine Arkansas officiated.
Burial was at Number Eight Cemetery, German Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Lovins leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Lovins, of Cooter; a son, William, of Silver Springs, Md., three brothers, Clyde Lovins, of Jonesboro, Ark., Hollie Lovins of Dexter, and Herman Lovins of Cooter; and a sister, Mrs. Eva Johnson of Portageville.

William Nathan "Toodle" Lovins, 81, of Cooter, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at his home.

Born March 15, 1929 in Dyer County, Tenn., he is the son of the late Raymond "Pat" and Ruth "Sam" Lovins.

He was a kind man who loved animals and the elderly. He was a retired brick mason and attended the Holly Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Lovins leaves his caregivers, June Keen and Karen Neil, of the home; a devoted and faithful friend, Shirley Johnson, of Cooter; and a host of cousins and friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Lovins will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 17 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Bro. David Lewelling officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the River Oaks Care Center Christmas Fund or the humane society of your choice.
