Obituary:
Haylee Jade York, age 7, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
She was born in Chesterfield, Missouri on July 12, 2012 to Joey and Jessica York (nee Dawson).
Haylee was very sick, but you would not know that from her vibrant disposition, and love of life. She had a rare case of a rare disease, but that summed up Hay; she was rare. Diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) meant her lips were purple, but she bled blue. She loved the Blues, maybe more than she loved Mermaids and Zebras, and that’s saying something. Haylee touched the lives of anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her, and was an icon of the PH Community. She was a first grader at Fairmount Elementary where her and twilight would scoot to class and find ways of inspiring others in her own ornery way. She was a Girl Scout with troop 3272, and a VIP at Chuck E Cheese. She was many things to many people, but she was our Hay.
Haylee is survived by her Mother, Jessica R. York, Father, Joey L. York, Sister, Jordayn Marie York, Grandfather, Johnny (Joan) Dawson, Aunt, Nicole (Drew) Phillips, Cousin, Cadence M. Phillips, Cousin, Leo Phillips, Great-Aunt, Rhonda (Wayne) Keen, Great-Aunt, Mary Busby, Cousin, Robert Keen, Cousin, Lauren (Steve) Ashe, Cousin, Emma Ashe, Cousin, Sophia Ashe, Aunt, Amy (Seth) Pullian-Pawli, Uncle, Paul (Jennifer) Coin, and her Boyfriend, Declan Powers. She will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Ronnie York, and her partners in crime Patricia Groneck-Hardin and Candy Morehouse.
