James Everett McDaniel, 70, West Plains, Mo., was born April 28, 1944, in Williford, Ark., and passed away Jan. 26, 2015, at his home.
James is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Secrest, to whom he was married Dec. 27, 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; five daughters, Lisa Harmon of West Plains, Mo., Jackie Williamson, West Plains, Mo., Michelle Brotherton, West Plains, Mo., Sheila Rhoades, West Plains, Mo., and Angela Baldridge, West Plains, Mo.; three sons, Josh McDaniel, Thayer, Mo., Mark Lester, Piedmont, Mo., and Ricky King, Marion, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; four sisters, Teresa Anderson, Brenda Riddle, Linda Headley and Sue Holmes; one brother, Gayle King; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett McDaniel and Audrey (Adair) King; one daughter, Tammy McDaniel; one son, Michael Lester; two grandsons, Keifer Pike and Rowdy Brotherton; one great-granddaughter, Gracieanne McClung; one great-grandson, Tyler Boucher; one sister, Jerry Brown; one brother, Jessie King Jr.; and his stepfather, Jessie King Sr.
James was a head sawyer who was extremely proud of his work, and whom everyone regarded "The Best." He was a Christian man who loved the Lord.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, Mo., with Bro. Wayne Hurst officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, Mo.
Norma Jean McDaniel, age 68 of West Plains, MO was born May 13, 1952 in Marion, IN and passed away May 29, 2020 at her home.
Survivors include; a daughter Angela Baldridge, sons Mark Lester and Ricky King, step-daughters Michelle, Jackie, Lisa and Shelia McDaniel, step-son Josh McDaniel, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Leroy Secrest and Mary Coats-Secrest, her husband James Everett McDaniel, son Michael Lester, daughter Sarah Lester and stepdaughter Tammy McDaniel.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Howell Memorial Park, Pomona, MO with Bro. Wayne Hurst officiating. Arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
