In loving memory of Tara, we are saddened to announce her passing to the above on Christmas morning, 2020, after bravely fighting daily with longtime illnesses.
Tara graduated from Silver Lake High school and attended Kansas State University before joining the Aviva company as an annuity consultant.
Throughout her life she loved her pets and animals. Her horse, cats, and most of all her dachshunds and German Shepherd. They never failed to have her love and tender care.
Her most joyous times were spent on the rivers of Missouri, camping, floating and kayaking with family and friends. She loved K State sports, the KC Royals, the KC Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes.
Tara is survived by her mother Janell (Jim) Parry, Maple hill, father Dennis (Susan) Barnes, Topeka, brother Doug (Wendy) Barnes, San Antonio, TX, significant other Judd Rokey, Topeka, aunt and uncle Mike and Luann Miller, Concordia, aunt Theodessa Mamoth, Andover, nephews Isaac and Caleb Barnes and niece Savannah Barnes, San Antonio, TX, cousins Jason Miller, Portland OR, Garrett Miller, Olathe, Jennifer Torgerson, Andover, and Jeff Saffer, Los Angeles, CA, and her loyal dachshund, Charly.
Never complaining about the health problems she endured throughout half her life, Tara was the epitome of courage. She will be dearly missed. RIP Tara....we love you.
