Jack Curtis McClary, 50, of Rogers, Ark., departed this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the home he shared with his sister and her husband, after months of declining health. He entered this life on Oct. 13, 1965, in Denver, Colo., born to the union of James and Carol Sue (McMillion) McClary.
He graduated in 1983 from the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, Okla. He resided in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa area before moving to Jane, Mo., in 1986. His employment history included La-Z-Boy in Neosho, Mo., and Specialty Packaging in Bentonville, Ark. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, bike riding and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Sue McClary; two sisters, Jana McClary and Janea McClary; and an infant brother, Jansen McClary.
He is survived by his father, James McClary of Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister, Jamie Ellis and husband, Scott, of Rogers; two brothers,
James McClary of Chickasha, Okla., and John McClary of Jane; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to those who helped care for Jack: Lisa, Jason, Don, Debbie and Wolfgang.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Pastor Lowell Sartin officiated. Burial followed in the Jane Cemetery.
Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers were Scott Ellis Jr., Joshua Ellis, James McClary II, Bill McClary, Adam Lewis, Phillip Lewis, Jacob Lewis and Matthew Lewis.
The family received friends on Tuesday evening in the funeral home chapel.
