Son and only child of John L. "Jack" Burnham and
Jessie Irene Jennings Burnham
Jackie was a turret gunner and his plane was
struck by flak over France during his 45th mission and he was killed. He was initially buried in an American cemetery in France. In late 1948/early 1949 his body was returned to the USA and buried in Memorial Park where, later, his parents were buried next to him.
