Marilyn Louise McReynolds, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, January 18, 2022, with her husband, David by her side. She was born in Twin Bridges, MO on June 3, 1949 to Ival Roy Tooley and Erma Lee (Collins) Tooley. She was 72 years old.
Marilyn graduated from WSHS Class of 1967. She married Loren Conger and gave birth to her only son, Jeff Conger on February 18, 1971. She was later wed to David McReynolds on June 10th, 1989, and they were happily married for the past 33 years. Marilyn was a hard worker and enjoyed it. She worked in many of the local factories, until she went to work for her son, Jeff, in 2010. Marilyn was definitely a people person and loved helping others. She loved her family and would do anything she could for them. She was the family seamstress, cake decorator, and driving instructor for many members of her family. She loved planning and decorating for parties; she also loved sewing, decorating cakes, gardening, crafting, and serving in her church at Crossway Fellowship Church. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family, her friends and all who knew her.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ival and Erma Tooley, her grandparents, and her brother-in-law, Gary Wake.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in her memory to the Youth Group at Crossway Fellowship Church, and they may be left at the funeral home or the church.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Crossway Fellowship Church in Willow Springs with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Jeff Conger and Dennis Walton officiating. Interment will follow in the Willow Springs City Cemetery.

David Eugene McReynolds, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the age of 75 after a brief illness. David was born on November 14, 1947, to Lewis McReynolds and Doris (Whited) McReynolds at the family home in Willow Springs.
David chose to follow in the footsteps of his three big brothers by joining the Navy on April 25, 1968. During his 21-year career, he traveled the United States and much of the world. Toward the end of his Navy career, he was stationed in Millington, TN and was an instructor to new recruits. During this time, he was introduced to the woman who would later become his wife, Marilyn Conger. On June 10, 1989, David and Marilyn were joined in marriage. This union created a family that included David's daughter, Celia Tinsley, and Marilyn's son, Jeff Conger. On June 30, 1992, David retired from the Navy and moved to Willow Springs to begin a new chapter in his life with Marilyn. David briefly worked for Brown Shoe Co. in Cabool until the factory closed. He then received specialized training before acquiring a job at Mercy St. Francis in Mountain View. David really enjoyed the many years he worked for the small hospital. After 16 years, David retired to spend more time with Marilyn and their beloved cat, Baby.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Doris McReynolds; his wife, Marilyn McReynolds; his brothers, Lewis and Charles McReynolds; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Erma and Ival Tooley; and his brother-in-law, Gary Wake.
A visitation for David will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M at CrossWay Fellowship Church with the funeral service immediately following with Pastor Jeff Conger officiating. Interment will be held at the Willow Springs City Cemetery. [willowspringsfuneralhome.com]
