2013 at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.
Mike entered this life on August 17, 1951 in Neosho, Missouri, one of five sons born to the late Gwendlyn and Susie (Tuggle) Kelly. He was raised and attended school in Granby, Missouri. On February 5, 1971 he was united in marriage to Della Lewis and to this union three daughters were born. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1971 until 1977. After being honorably discharged he retuned to Neosho, Missouri. For over thirty years he worked in cable television management. After retiring he worked as Assistant City Manager for the City of Neosho and was also employed by the Noel Housing Authority. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, bar-b-queing with friends and family, NASCAR and making family videos. Mike attended worship services at Word of Life Fellowship in Lanagan, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Graydon Lammers; and a son in-law, Brandon Burris.
Mike is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Della Kelly of the home; three daughters, Stacy Jo Burris of Neosho, Missouri, Tracy Lynn Allen and husband, Chris, of Neosho, Missouri and Lacy Renee Lammers and husband, Brendon, of Neosho; nine grandchildren; four brothers, George, Jim, John and Pat Kelly all of Granby, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Kelly are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Floyd Franks officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Jane Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are George, Jim, John and Pat Kelly and Brendon Lammers and Andrew Addington. His grandchildren and son in-law, Chris Allen will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
