Mr. Teddy Ray "Ted" Marrs, 75, of Jane, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Saturday evening, May 23, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ted entered this life on November 28, 1939, in Bentonville, Arkansas, the only child born to the late Ray and Marcella (Harmon) Marrs. He was a lifelong resident of Jane, Missouri. On January 13, 1964, in Miami, Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Joyce Anderson and to this union a son and daughter were born. Throughout his life, Ted was a farmer and top breeder of American Quarter Horses. He was a fifty year member of the American Quarter Horse Association.

Ted is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Joyce Marrs of the home; two children, Tim Marrs of Jane, Missouri and Tammy Grider and husband, Toby, also of Jane; four grandchildren, Dylan Link and fiancé, Audra Hurley, Lissa Grider, Allie Grider and Katelyn Marrs; a dear friend, Mark Baker, whom Ted thought of as a son; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Marrs are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Jamey Cope, Mark Sumler and Rick Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Jane Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Marvin Davis, Hunter Davis, Larry Slinkard, Skyler Slinkard, Robbie Nelson and Hank Snow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to the Jane Cemetery care fund and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
